Hey guys! Last month, I made a side comment on one of my posts that, based on mathematics alone, the probability of England winning the UEFA European Football Championship, aka ‘Euros’, which had just recently started at the time, was just over 4%….and that these odds were close to the mathematical odds of securing a top UK graduate job (i.e., an insight program, internship, or full-time graduate job).
Both odds are in the low single digits!
But I later deleted these side comments from the post because the Virgo in me demanded that I 'show my work' behind the maths! This, and the fact that the discussion on the odds of getting a top graduate job raises essential points that you should know, which would require even more space, led to an executive order that this topic deserved its own separate post. So here it is!
