Podcast
Overview
This post offers an overview of the podcast (click here for an overview of the newsletter), a list of Indexes and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
The podcast (which is currently in development and expected to launch during Q4 2024) will focus on helping you search for and apply for insight programmes, internships, and full-time graduate roles.
Through offerings such as FREE CV reviews*, FREE cover letter reviews, FREE mock interviews and FREE Q&A Sessions, we'll cover practical tips and advice on key application materials (CVs, cover letters, online application forms), interviews, tests, how to strategically select which employers to target, networking, salaries, exit options, converting internships into full-time graduate roles, and more, providing you with actionable insights to improve your graduate job application process.
Additionally, to ease your job search and help you spend less time looking for jobs and more time applying for jobs, the podcast will also shout-out top graduate job opportunities and recruitment events hosted by employers.
*CV reviews for the podcast will mostly be done on a standalone basis; the competitive CV reviews, in which a batch of CVs compete in head-to-head simulations resulting in one CV advancing to the next round (i.e., keep), one receiving a soft rejection (i.e., ding), and one receiving a hard rejection (i.e., ghost), will remain exclusively available through the Keep, Ding, Ghost CV Review Sessions, which will only be available to newsletter subscribers.
Where to Listen to Episodes
Free Episodes: You’ll be able to listen to free episodes on Apple, Spotify, and YouTube. As these platforms often have ads, the free episodes without ads will be available right here on Substack, as well as Patreon—and many of the episodes will be released early on both platforms (i.e., before they are released on Apple, Spotify, and YouTube).
Premium Episodes: All the premium episodes (which will also be ad-free) will be available on Substack and Patreon only.
Premium subscribers to this newsletter will be able to access every single episode of the podcast—free and premium—at no extra cost. Hence, premium subscribers to this newsletter will have unrestricted access to the newsletter (which comes with exclusive access to the Keep, Ding, Ghost CV Review Sessions) and the podcast.
If you’re only interested in the podcast, and don’t mind missing out on the Keep, Ding, Ghost CV Review Sessions, you can access all the free and premium podcast episodes on Patreon.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
FAQ: Is there a specific format for submitting questions or requesting a CV/cover letter review or mock interview?
To submit a question for the Q&A sessions or request a CV/cover letter review or mock interview (all of which are FREE), please click here to access the submission/request forms. Alternatively, for the Q&A sessions, you can submit questions through the platforms where the podcast episodes will be released, as I will regularly pick questions from the comment sections for the podcast. Additionally, I will occasionally host virtual group AMA or Q&A sessions for subscribers right here on Substack, on Patreon or via platforms such as Zoom, Teams or Google Meet, where you can ask me questions via the microphone or chatbox and get an immediate response (time permitting). These virtual group sessions may be recorded and later shared as a podcast episode. You will not be required to appear on camera.
FAQ: Will the podcast be in an audio or video format?
While the podcast will mainly be in an audio format, it will use both audio and video formats depending on the nature of the questions and requests addressed in each episode. Q&A sessions are expected to be broadcast mainly using an audio format, while mock interviews and cover letter reviews will most likely be presented in a video format. The video format will allow cover letters and CVs to be shared on the screen (without revealing the candidate's real name) during cover letter reviews/mock interviews. And don't worry; the person who is being interviewed for the mock interview or whose cover letter is being reviewed will not be required to appear on camera.
FAQ: Is there a limit on how many questions, CV/cover letter reviews, or mock interview requests I may submit?
Nope, so go nuts!
FAQ: Can the questions/requests be anonymous?
Absolutely! If you submit your question/request using the form, you will be asked to provide a simple alias or username/handle that I can use instead of your real name. If you provide a cover letter or CV as part of your request, your real name will not be shared, and the form requires you to confirm that any files you provide do not contain any sensitive or confidential information. If you submit your question via the comment section of the platforms where the podcast episodes are released, I may use the username you are using for the platform if your question is selected for the podcast.
FAQ: When will I get a response to my questions/requests?
The processing time will primarily depend on the type of request you submit (i.e., whether it is a question, a CV/cover letter review or a mock interview request). Additionally, whether you’re a free or premium subscriber may also impact processing times. For example, premium subscribers are prioritised for CV/cover letter/mock interview requests. Further, most of the comment sections and virtual group AMA/Q&A sessions, where you can submit questions, are only available to premium subscribers, thereby increasing your chances of getting a faster response.
The acknowledgement email that will be sent to you after you submit your CV/cover letter/mock interview request will provide you with the most up-to-date details regarding how requests are processed.
Please also note that each podcast episode will cover a limited number of cover letter reviews, mock interviews, and questions for the Q&A sessions to keep the duration reasonable. As such, don’t worry if your question/request is not included in the episode immediately after your submission—it could be answered in a future episode!
FAQ: Will there be opportunities for guest appearances or collaborations?
Yes—the door is always open to appropriate guests and collaborations that will benefit listeners by adding value to their graduate recruitment journey. To discuss this, please email partnerships@keepdingghost.com
FAQ: Can listeners provide feedback or suggestions for future episodes?
Absolutely—this is always welcomed and encouraged! Click here to access the form to share your feedback or suggestions.
