If you’re new here, welcome to Keep, Ding, Ghost! Remember that company that rejected your job application despite your strong CV? This newsletter will show you what probably happened. You may not always like what you hear, but it's better to hear it from me (L. C. Serrão) and fix any issues raised than be in the dark and let your top-choice employer use the same issues as the reason to reject your CV.
Hi, everyone!
As promised, this is the post with the details about the Office Hours (i.e., Q&A session) for the CV template recently shared via this post. 🎉🎉
I remember all too well how stressful the graduate job application process can get, especially when deadlines are right around the corner and you need quick advice. Office Hours are designed as a safe space to pick up insights and advice, get real-time feedback, or just pop by to connect with other graduate job applicants.
🎉🎉This Office Hours will be a virtual CV workshop for Analyst-level programs and full-time roles. It is exclusively for premium and platinum subscribers. Click here to check if you’re eligible for a FREE upgrade—which most of you will be, even if only for a limited period.
During the session, I’ll walk you through the CV template, highlight its key features, explain how it conveys a ‘story’ about the candidate, and show you how to use it to guide the telling of your own story. Of course, I’ll also answer any questions you have in real-time. I highly recommend you attend—it’s going to be super helpful!
The session will be simultaneously hosted through Zoom and the comment section under the CV template post, which you can use to post comments and questions before and during the session. ✨The Zoom link will be posted in the Keep, Ding, Ghost chatroom on the event day in a thread for premium and platinum subscribers. Join the chatroom now, and make sure you also download the Substack app to receive a notification once the session goes live.✨
Click here to RSVP for the session so it’s added to your calendar.
Click here to post your questions in the comment section of the CV template post. I will try to get through as many of them as I can during the session.
